DataSift's continued headway in the face of a rapidly shifting marketplace demonstrates that aside from the need to maintain its supply line of inbound data, the technical underpinnings that it has developed over the last four years (and previous incarnations prior to that) has allowed it to develop partnerships beyond low-margin, simple data resale. The Facebook partnership is a good example of how DataSift might begin to be an important part of a bourgeoning industry for customer-derived analytic platforms with its OEM partners.
